About Early Rise

“Many of the most highly publicized events of my presidency are not nearly as memorable or significant in my life as fishing with my daddy.”
– President Jimmy Carter

Early Rise Outfitters is an all-tackle fishing guide service dedicated to providing enjoyable outdoor angling adventures; with an emphasis on education, conservation, and teaching the next generation.

With the addition of our Stealthcraft Sniper drift boat, we have added float trips to our services. Now you can enjoy all the comforts of western-style float trips across Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Patrick Barone

Like most fishing enthusiasts, Patrick started fishing in small ponds with his father as a young boy. Growing up on the South Shore of Massachusetts meant that Patrick was able to chase both fresh and saltwater species: including trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, and bonito. What started as a way for a father and son, and then eventually a younger brother to spend time together turned into a lifelong passion. His passion, interest, and dedication for all things fishing has taken him through many regions, including northern New England and the Midwest, and many different fishing conditions in between in search of biting fish. He is fortunate enough to live in close proximity to the Swift River, and has averaged over 150 days per year on it for the last five years.

As a guide and fellow fisherman, he is known for his patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to educate. If you spend a day on the river with Patrick, you can rest assured that he will do everything in his power to provide you with a fun, memorable, and successful fish-catching experience.

When not guiding, Patrick can be found spending time with his wife, three young children, and pets. Patrick finds great reward in coaching multiple youth sports and being an active outdoor enthusiast.
